P.E. Nation
Interior Design
2025
Located in Liverpool, this retail fitout for P.E. Nation brings a clear, confident presence to a compact 116sqm tenancy. The design is measured and purposeful — shaped around movement, display, and the quiet energy of the brand.
The store is planned with a simple, intuitive rhythm. A generous entry draws customers into the space, where tiered table joinery, wall shelving, mirrors, and a considered point of sale create moments of pause and engagement. Each element is positioned to support the customer experience without overcomplicating it. The result is a space that feels open, direct, and easy to navigate.
Materiality is kept restrained and tactile. Timber veneer brings warmth to the point of sale, while a marble stone surface gives the joinery a grounded, enduring quality. These details are not decorative for their own sake. They bring balance to the retail environment — softening the architecture while allowing the product to remain the focus.
The new shopfront works with the existing conditions of the centre, retaining key elements while introducing a refined signage zone, blade sign, and integrated lighting. The bulkhead is resolved with care, creating a seamless connection between old and new. Track lighting supports flexibility across display areas, giving the store a clean and adaptable framework.
Behind the retail floor, back-of-house storage is integrated efficiently, allowing the front-of-house experience to remain calm and uncluttered. Mirrors expand the sense of space and create a layered visual experience, while the layout maintains clear sightlines from entry to point of sale.
This project is an exercise in restraint. Every move has a purpose. Every junction is considered. The design supports the pace and precision of retail, while creating a space that feels composed, tactile, and quietly assured.
For P.E. Nation Liverpool, the architecture does not compete with the brand. It frames it — with clarity, warmth, and confidence.
