Tamarama

The Tamarama Apartment is a refined reworking of a compact coastal residence — designed to create warmth, clarity, and calm through a restrained palette of natural materials and carefully resolved detailing.
The project reimagines the apartment as a softer and more cohesive living environment, balancing functionality with a quiet sense of luxury. Curved forms, warm timber joinery, and tactile stone surfaces introduce a gentle rhythm throughout the interiors, while natural light becomes central to the experience of each space.

At the heart of the apartment, the kitchen was redesigned as a sculptural and highly resolved joinery element. Marble surfaces, integrated appliances, and pale timber cabinetry create a calm architectural language that feels both timeless and understated. The arched opening becomes a defining moment within the plan — softening transitions between spaces while framing views through the apartment.
Living and dining spaces were designed to feel open yet intimate. Carefully layered textures, neutral finishes, and concealed detailing allow the apartment to feel generous despite its compact footprint. Large openings to the balcony draw in natural light and strengthen the connection to the outdoors, extending the living experience beyond the interior.

The bathroom continues this restrained material palette through soft tonal tiling, warm brushed fixtures, and custom timber joinery. Every element was considered to create a sense of simplicity, warmth, and permanence.

Throughout the project, attention was given to proportion, light, and materiality — transforming the apartment into a calm and enduring coastal retreat that feels both contemporary and deeply comfortable.
